When mobile cinematographer and filmmaker Cassius Rayner set out to document the extraordinary work of UK-based charity Healing Little Hearts, he knew that capturing pristine audio in busy hospital environments – without cluttering the space with gear – would be as crucial as the visual storytelling. May, 2025 Shimokitazawa ReG is a livehouse, or music venue in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, close to Shinjuku and Shibuya districts. At 230-capacity standing, Shimokitazawa ReG is an intimate venue, which only enhances the excitement of seeing some of Japan’s brightest independent bands there. The PA has been designed to be felt as well as heard, in a full mind-body experience. Studio Berlin invests in DirectOut Solutions for brand new control rooms


DirectOut provider of high-end audio solutions for any application scenario has extended its coverage at Studio Berlin, Germany based studio operation and television production company. Two PRODIGY.MP, one PRODIGY.MX and three ANDIAMO have been installed by Studio Berlin to provide conversion and redundancy solutions for its brand-new control room upgrades in Hamburg. Studio Berlin had previously utilized an Outside Broadcast truck, but with an increasingly busy schedule and less opportunity for the control room to move, the decision was taken to replace the truck and create two new, permanently installed facilities.

When the scope of the flexibility required by Copenhagen Dansehallerne, Copenhagen’s center for Dance and Chorography, became clear, DirectOut was the only solution able to deliver what was needed. Leyland’s appointment follows the resignation of Brompton’s previous Chairman, Neil Gaydon, for health reasons. Neil joined at the time of Brompton receiving investment from specialist private equity provider Connection Capital in 2022 and has played a central role in developing Brompton’s growth strategy. “We are very grateful to Neil for all his support and wish him the very best,” says Richard Mead, Brompton’s CEO.

May, 2025 Toto is a band that needs no introduction and their engineers are just as well established in the music industry. When a colleague suggested to Ken Freeman, Toto’s front of house engineer, that he should swap to DiGiCo, he agreed and the switch became permanent. Starting with an SD 10, then the Quantum 338, he recently upgraded to a Quantum 852 for the 2024 Dogz of Oz tour and has never looked back. Steve Kallos at the monitor position, could not have imagined swapping from his SD10, but when his trusted console was not available, the Quantum 338 was “thrust upon” him – and he is very glad it was.

April, 2025 2024 was an amazing year for Nina Chuba and 2025 is set to be even busier, with a summer of festival appearances already scheduled. Her first large-scale arena tour, starting in October 2025, has sold-out for most dates. Christopher ‘Toffie’ Plaschke has been Nina’s front of house engineer since the beginning of her live career. In 2023, he also took on the role of production manager, switching to DiGiCo consoles and sticking with them for every show he has done since.

Fryderyki 2025 Awards Gala: Powered by five DiGiCo Quantum consoles


April, 2025 Fryderyki 2025 is Poland’s most prestigious music awards ceremony. The gala performance, held in April 2025, was the culmination of a celebration that spanned Poland. Held in the Tauron Arena in Kraków, the show was built around the power of DiGiCo Quantum consoles, with four Quantum 338s for front of house and monitor mixing, plus an addition Quantum 225 dedicated to public speaking and host mixes. The entire system was supplied by Brawlers, the audio production company owned by Remigiusz Kasztelnik, who was also on site to produce the audio for the event.

April, 2025 Explaining how an essential piece of equipment works can take time and even detract from the creative process it is trying to facilitate. For theatrical sound designer Joerg Gruensfelder, explaining sound system components was an unnecessary distraction and often felt like too much information for musical directors or stage directors who just wanted to get on with the process. Jeremy Wahlers offers insight into Theatrical Special Effects


April, 2025 Look Solutions has long been the manufacturer of choice for reliable, repeatable fog and haze effects across any application. Jeremy Wahlers is a Broadway Production Electrician and owner of JJW Production Electrics. He is in charge of lighting rigs, which also includes some special and atmospheric effects, and supervises the teams that actualize effects during technical rehearsals and operate them once the show has opened. April, 2025 Two of Argentina’s most respected artists, Abel Pintos and Luciano Pereyra, joined forces for an epic series of concerts, with an extra four dates added due to huge demand. Since 2018, Jan has toured with German singer-songwriter and TV personality Max Mutzke. Mutzke rose to fame after winning TV total’s SSDSGPS in 2004 and has since delivered numerous chart-topping hits, including Eurovision Song Contest performances. For the latest tour, Jan was looking for a way to elevate the band’s monitor mixes and KLANG had the perfect solution.
