NOVEMBER 2022 – Parc de la Villette is both a park – the third largest in Paris – and a focal point for art, music, and culture, housing the city’s largest concentration of cultural venues, including the Philharmonie de Paris and Cité de la Musique. It’s also home to the physically and psychologically imposing Grand Halle de la Villette. A stunning example of 19th-century cast iron and glass architecture, designed by famous French architect Victor Baltard, the venue was originally an abattoir and was transformed into a multi-use space in 1985. The Grand Halle hosts diverse events including exhibitions, concerts, theatre shows, and festivals. The annual Jazz à La Villette festival, hosted here, attracts more than 30,000 jazz enthusiasts every September.

LEDCAVE BERLIN CHOOSES BROMPTON’S LED PROCESSING FOR OBI SUMMER CAMPAIGN


NOVEMBER 2022 – As a virtual production and XR studio for film, advertising, live events and more, LEDcave aims to make high-tech media production accessible for all types of media teams and budgets. Earlier this year, the company collaborated with soup.filmproduktion to bring the vision of German multinational home improvement supplies retailer, OBI, into reality, by utilising LEDcave’s most advanced studio in Berlin for OBI’s summer campaign “Du must nicht alles wissen. Frag uns! Alles machbar mit OBI.” (You don’t have to know everything. Ask us! Everything is possible with OBI). Filmed under the direction of Justin Izumi, the giant LED volume powered by Brompton LED processing was used to extend reality by blending ultra-realistic virtual backgrounds and the physical set together.

CREATES CALM ON STAGE FOR FURY IN THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE


OCTOBER 2022 – Legendary German rock band, Fury in the Slaughterhouse, has a long touring history dating back to the band’s inception in 1987. Renowned for its large arena tours, their productions have always involved gear heavy set ups including over 20 wedges for monitor sound. After a decade hiatus, the band has reunited and started touring again, continuing its tradition of big sound, but with the benefit of new technology from German in-ear monitor specialists, KLANG, and its immersive in-ear mixing technology.

Quantum 338 upgrades Belgian star’s marathon arena run


NOVEMBER 2022 – Belgium’s treasured TV and music personality, Bart Peeters, has recently concluded a series of 26 sold-out concerts at Antwerp’s 8,000 capacity Lotto Arena, selecting DiGiCo’s Q338 console from the leading designer’s flagship Quantum range as the centrepiece, taking advantage of the elite range’s vast capacity and highly flexible architecture capable of catering for the accompanying choir and additional guest artists.

OCTOBER 2022 – Italian megastar completes 11 sold out concerts around Italy , with DiGiCo Quantum 338 delivering exceptional audio, user-friendliness, and flexibility throughout.

According to Corsellini, a high calibre artist like Vasco Rossi, renowned for his impressive live performances, must also maintain the highest level of production. For this tour, alongside the Quantum 338s, the set up included five DiGiCo SD-Racks on stage – two for monitors, two for the FoH and one for effects, all connected via an Optocore optical loop.

FROM HELLFEST TO ROCK WERCHTER AND NOS ALIVE


OCTOBER – 2022 – Metallica, the biggest heavy metal band on the planet, has just completed its European summer festival run with The Return Of The European Summer Vacation tour, which saw the band playing at some of Europe’s most anticipated music festivals including Copenhell 2022 (Denmark), Download Germany, Hellfest Summer Open Air (France), Rock Werchter (Belgium) and NOS Alive (Portugal). With a total of eleven shows held between June and August, Metallica’s long-term production partner Production Resource Group, LLC (PRG), turned each event into an epic visual experience both for the in-person and streaming audiences by providing a custom LED set-up of ROE Visual panels and Brompton Technology LED video processing.
