Capital teams up with MHA for Mumford and Sons tour

Capital Sound is teaming up with fellow Martin Audio MLA rental company, Maryland US-based MHA, to handle the 2013 Mumford and Sons tour on both sides of the Atlantic.

The Capital crew has a long association with MHA’s Mike Scarfe, which makes for an easy working relationship.

“Mike was ACDC's FOH engineer from around 1978-84 when Capital Project Manager Martin Connolly was their monitor man and I and got my first job building loudspeakers for ACDC at age 17,” says Capital General Manager Paul Timmins.

MHA will supply the loudspeaker system for the sold out US East Coast leg of the world tour for two weeks during February. “Mike is going out as one of the four PA crew for the US leg,” continues Paul. “We’re sending Fabrice Quirin from the UK and the full control package has gone by sea container. The FOH console remains the trusty Midas XL4 whilst the monitor console is a DiGiCo SD10.”

Capital takes over at the beginning of March when the band lands back in Europe, with their first gig scheduled at Stodola in Warsaw.
